# FetchVolt licensing

Effective 5 November 2026, Rajesh Kumar G licenses the FetchVolt code, documentation and artwork authored for this project under the unmodified PolyForm Noncommercial License 1.0.0 in LICENSE. This grant also covers the project-authored portions of the previously published FetchVolt 2.5.0 preview artifacts. Published setup ZIPs remain unchanged; their original checksums still apply. The current license and required notice accompany the release separately.

## What this means

You may use, study, fork, modify and redistribute FetchVolt for purposes permitted by LICENSE. Commercial use is not granted except where the license's express permitted-purpose provisions apply. In particular, the standard license permits use by the listed charitable, educational, public research, public safety/health, environmental and government organizations regardless of funding. Preserve LICENSE (or its official URL) and all Required Notice lines when distributing any part of the software, including modifications. The license's own wording controls; this summary adds no permissions or restrictions.

FetchVolt is source-available under a noncommercial license. It is not OSI-approved open-source software: the Open Source Definition requires commercial-use permission. Noncommercial restrictions are legal conditions; they are not technical copy protection or a guarantee against misuse. Adding a license does not register a copyright or trademark.

## Third-party materials

This license applies only to rights held by the project's licensors. Dependencies and third-party adaptations retain their original terms. See NOTICE.md, ui/components/ReactBits-LICENSE.md, ui/fonts/Manrope-OFL.txt, ui/licenses, website/assets/*-LICENSE.txt and dependency notices included in builds. In particular, the React Bits adaptation remains under its original MIT plus Commons Clause conditions and is distributed as part of FetchVolt, not as a standalone component pack. Do not replace or remove third-party copyright or license notices.

No trademark registration or trademark license is represented by the software license. Forks should identify their changes and avoid implying that Rajesh Kumar G endorses them.

## Contributions

Contributors retain ownership of their contributions. Accepted contributions are offered under the same PolyForm Noncommercial terms, with applicable notices preserved. No copyright assignment or contributor agreement granting additional commercial rights is created by this policy. Any future alternate license for third-party contributions would require appropriate permission. See CONTRIBUTING.md.
